Riposa in Pace Piermario Morosini



Livorno midfielder Piermario Morosini, who collapsed and died on the pitch during the Pescara game on Saturday, will be buried on Wednesday in his home town of Bergamo.

Lazio defender Andre Dias picked up an injury during the Parma game, and he is likely to miss the upcoming Napoli and Juventus games.

Andrea Masiello arrested



The former Bari defender Andrea Masiello, who now plays for Atalanta, has been arrested in connection with alleged match-fixing in Serie A last season. Eight of Masiello's former Bari team-mates are also being investigated by police over the possible manipulation of matches.

Italian media said the allegations centre on a match between Bari and Lecce in May last year, which Bari lost 2-0 with Masiello scoring an own goal in the 80th minute. Bari had already been relegated by the time that match was played.

Milan are ready to face Barcelona



The Rossoneri has arrived to Spain and ready to face at the 2nd leg of UEFA Champions League quarter final. Milan held Barcelona in San Siro with a scoreless draw.

Thiago Silva will miss Barcelona game due to injury, but the good news is that Pato is back in the team, while Boateng, Emanuelson and Aquilani are finally fit.

The coach Allegri is optimistic about the Barcelona game, and asked to his players to forget Catania match, just to focus on Barcelona now.

Pasquale Marino sacked as Genoa coach with his predecessor Alberto Malesani returning to the club. Marino lasted a little over three months having replaced Malesani just before Christmas. Genoa had a 9 games winless streak with Marino and have conceded more goals than any team in Serie A.

Serie A Week 30, Wide open title race!



Milan dropped two very important points in Sicily against Catania. It is a question mark that is the Rossoneri had Barcelona game in their minds or were they tired? Catania played much better than Milan, as they showed a great spirit and even deserved to win.

Parma have achieved a very important win against Lazio, as they were struggling with a 8 games winless streak. The team is above 8 points of relegation zone after the Lazio victory.


Lazio and Udinese threw away a big opportunity for the 3rd place, since the two teams lost their games this weekend.

Inter did not impress with their new coach, but the new offensive Inter were exciting to watch against Genoa, as the game is ended with 9 goals!

Roma have a great chance now for the top three spots, since the top three fighters Napoli, Lazio and Udinese lost their games. The team has been impressive against Novara.

Siena are 8 points clear of the relegation zone. A win against Udinese arguably the most important win of the season for the team.

Fiorentina played awfully against Chievo, and deserved to lose. The team couldn't even create even a single goal chance, while they found their goal from a freekick. They are 5 points above the relegation zone.Thanks to Lecce which team has failed to win at home against Cesena, and wasted a big opportunity to close the gap against Fiorentina on the relegation fight.

Palermo achieved their first away win after 30 rounds in Serie A against Bologna, but lost three players to suspensions before the upcoming Juventus game.

Juventus outplayed Napoli, and showed an amazing display. The Old Lady is following the leader Milan from two points behind, and the title race is more exciting once again.

Silvio Berlusconi is officially Milan President again, as he had to resign as President in 2008 when becoming Prime Minister of Italy. Now he has resigned from that political role, and took the control.

Nesta to replace Silva?



Milan are facing a tough injury cricis before arguably the most important game of the season. The coach Allegri is planning start with Mexes - Nesta against Barcelona, while he's likely to start with Bonera or Zambrotta as a right-back due to absence of Abate.

Midfielder Mark Van Bommel, striker Robinho are doubtful against Barcelona. So, Milan will have only two strikers available against Barcelona, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and El Shaarawy.

Official : Ranieri sacked



Inter have sacked Claudio Ranieri after the Derby d'Italia defeat and promoted youth team manager Andrea Stramaccioni until end of the season.

Silva is out for a month



Milan lost their best defender Silva to injury during the Roma match. The Brazilian star will miss the first leg game of UEFA Champions League quarter final against Barcelona, also he's not expecting to be ready for the 2nd leg game.

Serie A Week 29



Milan fought back and won 2-1 against Roma with Zlatan's two goals and his great effort. The Rossoneri achieved a very important victory and kept the four points gap between Juventus. But the coach Allegri's choises were crucial, as he lost his best defender Silva to injury.

Palermo drew 1-1 Udinese in Sicily undeservedly, as the refrees made decisive errors. Gabriel Torje answered to Fabricio Miccoli's opener and Udinese grabbed a point from Sicily. But if Guidolin did not field a ''wrong lineup'' , which is not extremely defensive, maybe they could have won and keep themselves in UEFA Champions League spots race.

Napoli threw away a 2-0 lead against Montella's impressive Catania. The coach Mazzarri thought the game is already over, as the team is conceded two late goals from set pieces, and they lost a big advantage against Lazio for the first three spots race before the upcoming Juventus game.

Novara and Lecce drew in a six points relegation dog fight game, which is a bad result for the two teams.

Parma, Fiorentina , Siena , Genoa and Cagliari are feeling the relegation danger.

Atalanta achieved a very important win, and the team has climbed to a much safer place at the table, althought they played without their best two strikers.

Lazio expectedly had difficulties of scoring with Klose's absence against Cagliari. Thanks to Diakite's late header which is gave a three points advantage to Lazio for the first three spots against Napoli and Udinese.

Juventus deservedly won the Derby d'Italia, and kept chasing Milan from four points behind, and put the struggling Inter into more troubles.

The good news is that Boateng, Van Bommel and Nesta are back in the team.

Lazio lose Klose



Bad news for Lazio is that Klose picked up an injury during midweek and he's expecting to be out for a month. Klose will miss Napoli and Juventus games, which are decisive for Lazio's first three aim.

Coppa Italia



Two title candidates will face eachothers in the semi-final game of Coppa Italia. At the first leg Juventus won 2-1 against Milan in San Siro.

Coppa Italia is a target for the two teams.

Juventus will miss Buffon, Barzagli and Matri.

Milan will miss Mark Van Bommel, Boateng and Robinho. Seedorf and Maxi Lopez are back from the injuries, while Mexes is back from the suspension.

Serie A Week 28



The leader Milan won 2-0 against Parma without having much problems, despite the team is in an injury cricis once again. The new trequartista Emanuelson showed an excellent performance, and definitely was the best player on the pitch.

After having a winless streak, The Old Lady deservedly won 5-0 against Fiorentina in the derby game. Striker Cerci's early sent off affected the game.

Siena put themselves in the trouble,as they lost 0-2 to Novara at home. Siena had a great opportunity to climb to the a safer place at the table, but they have wasted it.

Despite an early lead, Lecce threw away a big advantage, as they missed a lot of chances against Palermo. Lecce started to game with an impressive display and passion. The score could have been 3-0 at 10th minute. Palermo tied to score with Munoz's goal from the corner kick. Oddo's foolish mistake costed the team a three points.

Inter played bad once again, as they have no motivation anymore since they are out of all competitions. It seems the team won't be even able to fight for the top three spots.

Udinese drew 2-2 Napoli at home. Two teams were in need a three points for the UEFA Champions League spot. Napoli were slightly better team,but Udinese took advantage of Napoli's defensive errors and absence of Lavezzi.

Catania were impressive once again. Montella created a great team,as his Catania are the 2nd most successful team of Serie A since the winter break (according to form)after Milan.

Cagliari won 3-0 against the relegation battlers Cesena with Pinilla's hat-trick, and achieved a very important victory before the Lazio match on the new coach Ficcadenti's debut.

Roma won 1-0 against Genoa, but the team did not impress at all. Luis Enrique's team took the early lead with Osvaldo's goal. The team has no consistency, as they played 15 minutes great and the rest of the game pathetic.

Defensive issues for the Rossoneri



Milan full-back Abate is out against Parma due to muscle injury. Also Milan will be without injured defender Nesta and suspended Mexes.

Totti is out against Genoa



Francesco Totti couldn't recover in time, and he will miss Genoa game. Also midfielder De Rossi remained doubtful.

Dream start and a nightmare end for Udinese



Udinese couldn't use advantage of an early 2-0 lead against the 10 men AZ Alkmaar. The Friulani made a lot of defensive errors after losing Benatia to injury during the game. The team is tried everything to open AZ Alkmaar defense but Di Natale's two goals were not enough to achieve qualification.

Napoli lost 1-4 to Chelsea after played extra time in London, and couldn't reach to last 8. Napoli showed a great fighting spirit against the English giants, and every player worked hard for Italy and Napoli's success. Mazzarri is right to say that ''My team was fantastic.''

Chelsea ''unexpectedly'' showed a great performance after Villas Boas departure. They were hungry for a goal from the first minute of the game. Napoli had 3-4 clear chances but Partenopei was unlucky.

Chelsea is the only team which is left to last 8 from England this season in UEFA Champions League.

Inter crash out of UEFA Champions League



The Nerazzurri again conceded in stoppages and crash out of UEFA Champions League to Marseille.

Diego Milito opened the scoring for the Nerazzurri in the 75th minute, but Brandao's 92th minute equaliser shocked Inter. Pazzini's late strike did not help to Inter to go through.

Ranieri's future remained doubtful, since Inter have no title chances, they are out of Italian Cup and Uefa Champions League.

Calaio injury blow for Siena



Siena's top-goal scorer Emanuele Calaio picked up an injury on sunday during the Cesena game, and he's out for the rest of the season.

Calaio had scored 11 goals this season.

Inter squad for Marseille



Inter will host Marseille in San Siro for the 2nd leg game of UEFA Champions League.

Inter are expecting to start with 4-3-1-2 formation against Marseille.

Ricky Alvarez is still injured, and Brazilian full-back Maicon is doubtful against Marseille.

Milan remained leader, and achieved an easy win against the relegation battlers Lecce, despite a bad performance.

Juventus drew once again, and started to feel pressure.

Injury crisis Lazio and out-fit Udinese lost their games, and wasted a great opportunity for the 3rd spot. Especially Lazio, as they are 9 points behind the leader Milan now, and only 3 points above of Napoli.

Siena achieved a very important victory against Cesena before the Novara game, and had an advantage against the relegation battlers.

Fiorentina, Cagliari and Parma are feeling the relegation danger after following bad results.

Cagliari recalled Ficcadenti, and sacked Ballardini after 6-3 Napoli defeat.

9 goals in San Paolo



Napoli continued to their amazing winning streak against the relegation worried Cagliari and stayed in the race for the top three spots. It was a very important win before the upcoming historical Chelsea game. The team is showed a great display and scored 6 goals.

Inter finally



Inter were in a big cricis with their 9 games winless streak in all competitions. The team is ended cricis in Verona today, as they won 2-0. Inter were definitely the better side, and had plenty of chances. They missed a penalty kick with Diego Milito, but thanks to Samuel's late goal which is gave to Inter a very important victory and morale boost before the Marseille game.

Di Natale will start on the bench




Udinese coach Francesco Guidolin has decided not to risk his star forward Di Natale against AZ Alkmaar in UEFA Europa League game, as the player cannot handle with playing every three days, and the team is giving more importance to Serie A, since they are fighting for the 3rd spot, and a small chance to win the league.

Also midfielders Badu,Isla and defender Basta will miss AZ Alkmaar game due to injuries.

Juventus lost big advantage



Conte's Juventus drew 1-1 Bologna, after another disappointing display,as the team's offense struggled once again. Juventus managed to win only one game in their 6 Serie A games and lost a bid advantage on the title race, as they were leaders with a 4 points difference in front of the Milan. After the Bologna match, the Old Lady remained 2nd and only two points behind the leader Milan.

Also Juventus lost defender Bonucci, as the player sent off during the game, and will be without Barzagli,Chiellini and Bonucci against Genoa.

Milan almost threw away 4-0 lead



Milan almost threw away a 4-0 first leg lead, as the team started to game unmotivated. Arsenal showed a brilliant performance at the first half and took the 3-0 lead. At the first half Milan defense made chaotic errors which are unacceptable in a high-level game. At the 2nd half Milan showed some signs of motivation and went through of UEFA Champions League Quarter Finals.

Fiorentina's Montenegrin star forward Stevan Jovetic will be out for a two weeks, as he picked up an injury during the Cesena game. Jovetic is expecting to miss the upcoming Parma and Catania games.

Roma lose Juan



Roma defender Juan will be out about two months due to injury. Roma defense was already problematic,since Burdisso's unfortunate injury. The coach Luis Enrique is planning to use midfielder De Rossi as a centre back for the upcoming games.
