Riposa in Pace Piermario Morosini



Livorno midfielder Piermario Morosini, who collapsed and died on the pitch during the Pescara game on Saturday, will be buried on Wednesday in his home town of Bergamo.

Rest in peace Morosini, you are in our hearts.

Lazio lose Dias



Lazio defender Andre Dias picked up an injury during the Parma game, and he is likely to miss the upcoming Napoli and Juventus games.

Andrea Masiello arrested



The former Bari defender Andrea Masiello, who now plays for Atalanta, has been arrested in connection with alleged match-fixing in Serie A last season. Eight of Masiello's former Bari team-mates are also being investigated by police over the possible manipulation of matches.

Italian media said the allegations centre on a match between Bari and Lecce in May last year, which Bari lost 2-0 with Masiello scoring an own goal in the 80th minute. Bari had already been relegated by the time that match was played.

Pasquale Marino sacked as Genoa coach with his predecessor Alberto Malesani returning to the club. Marino lasted a little over three months having replaced Malesani just before Christmas. Genoa had a 9 games winless streak with Marino and have conceded more goals than any team in Serie A.

Fiorentina played awfully against Chievo, and deserved to lose. The team couldn't even create even a single goal chance, while they found their goal from a freekick. They are 5 points above the relegation zone.Thanks to Lecce which team has failed to win at home against Cesena, and wasted a big opportunity to close the gap against Fiorentina on the relegation fight.

Palermo achieved their first away win after 30 rounds in Serie A against Bologna, but lost three players to suspensions before the upcoming Juventus game.

Juventus outplayed Napoli, and showed an amazing display. The Old Lady is following the leader Milan from two points behind, and the title race is more exciting once again.
