Milan beat Inter in Beijing in the Super Cup game. This was the first ever Derby della Madonnina in the Super Cup and first official game of the season.
The Rivals met in Bird's Nest Stadium in Beijing.
Inter had an early lead at the first half but 2nd half Milan played better and made a come-back. Sneijder's goal was the opener. At the 2nd half Gasperini changed formation from 3-4-3 to 4-4-1-1. Boateng and Zlatan Ibrahimovic's goals decided about the winner.
Both teams weren't ready and haven't finished preperations. Inter played a few friendlies and in Dublin Cup. Milan played in Audi Cup and were not looked ready.
Milan had an advantage that they didn't change their squad and formation. Inter have changed a coach and trying to adapt a new formation. 3-4-3 formation doesn't suit for Inter but Gasperini is stubborn on it. Still plenty of time to season and Inter might be adapted to his formation.
As we remember after Mourinho , Benitez era wasn't long and Leonardo took the control. Leonardo did a good job with Inter but always had defencive issues. Now Inter in Gasperini's hands and his tactic is more offencive. Inter got used to be play defencive with Morinho when they won almost all possible Cups.
It will show clearly when season starts that Gasperini is right or not ?
