UEFA CHL - Udinese - Arsenal

Udinese - Arsenal

Game will be played at stadium “Friuli” in Udinese. Capacity is around 30.620 seats. Expected sold-out.

Temperatures will be around ( daily 39 degree ), while at the hour of the game will be around 28.

First game:
Arsenal-Udinese (1-0)
Arsenal managed to score early woth Walcott (4’) and controlled the first half easily, but things have changed after the break when Udinese were unlucky as they played better, were more aggressive and draw should have been deserved.

As said above Udinese had some problems in the first half and the result was the early goal they conceded, but after the break the team of Guidolin showed reaction and the result was an aggressive game and some golden chances. Udinese had the opportunity to score and level the game, but this time luck was on the other side.

Yesterday in their press conference manager Guidolin and team captain, Di Natale, said that this game is compared with World Cup final, as a UCL final and the team will be 200% motivated to take a positive result to qualify. Di Natale promised to his fans that will give his “life” to score as he said that he already is 34 and this is the last chance in his life to continue the road in CHL.

Guidolin don’t like to change the tactic of team. This means that Udinese will play the same 4-4-1-1 with Di Natale as lonely striker and Pinzi as playmaker.

Probable lineup:

Udinese (4-4-1-1)
Handanovic
Ekstrand-Benatia-Danilo-Neuton
Isla-Badu-Asamoah-Armero
Pinzi
Di Natale

Di Natale will act as lonely striker. He will be helped from playmaker Pinzi who is starting behind him and of couse from the offensive skills of Asamoah who will start in centre of midfield. The tactic of 4-4-1-1 will let midfield players to act free and to create more attacking power, but in same time to offer defensive coverage too.

Missing players: Domizzi (def-30-games, 2 goals, 2 asist, last year), Floro Flores(, Ferronetti, Coda (22 games last year)

Arsenal in having their bad period in these days. In the first games manager Wenger was in tribune, while today UEFA “forgive him” and let the Frenchman to manage his team from the bench. In the first game Arsenal was too lucky to win the game 1-0 as they managed to score an early goal with Walcott and then the game was controlled from Udiense who created a lot of danger. In the last league game Arsenal was defeated from Liverpool (0-2).

The bad news for Arsenal is the transfer of Nasri to Manchester City.

However Arsenla today will have again many problems with players: Nasri as said was sold to Man. City. Yesterday media wrote that Wilshere will miss too due to injury and he is going to stay out for about 3-4 weeks. Diaby, Lansbury, Bendtner, Squillaci, Koscielny, Gibbs are the other players who will not play today.

Arsenal starting 4-2-3-1 today with Van Persie as lonely striker. He will be supported from 3 midfielder, Walcott, Rosicky, Gervinho.

Probable Arsenal: (4-2-3-1)
Szczesny
Sagna-Djourou-Vermaelen-Traore
Song-Ramsey
Walcott-Rosicky-Gervinho
Van Persie

Players to watch:
Udinese as said will have a fully motivated team that will fight hard to take a positive result. They are not changing their 4-4-1-1 with Di Natale as an alone striker. The defence I think will have some problems as Neuton didn’t convince as left back. I think the player to be watched today will be Asamoah. Midfielder will start in centre of midfield, but he is going to act as a “free” player. Pinzi is in good form too, while goals are expected from Di Natale.

In Arsenal things are a bit more difficult as they miss some important names, but still they have better names in their team and of course most of them don’t lack European experience. In the first game Walcott was the player who gave Arsenal the lead and I believe that again he will be the player to watch. Also we cannot forget Van Persie who can score anytime.
